The League of Women Voters encourages all eligible voters to make their voices heard by voting on November 8. Democracy works only when everyone participates.
Voting is the best way to make sure all communities can participate fairly in the decision about who represents them. All registered voters should have received a ballot in the mail. Your completed ballot can be mailed or returned in person by November 7. Don’t forget to sign the envelope and take it to any drop box in your area or Vote Center. https://www.sdvote.com/content/rov/en/elections/election_information2/ballot-drop-box-locations.html
You can also vote in person beginning 3 days before and up until election day, November 8. https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place
The League of Women Voters was founded 102 years ago, when women received the right to vote. They have been devoted ever since to protecting and expanding voting rights and ensuring everyone is represented in our democracy. The League is a non-partisan, grassroots organization that works to empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation, at the local, state, and national levels.
The League of Women Voters North County San Diego (LWVNCSD), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is proud to be celebrating its 60th year in North County.
It was called upon more than ever this year in the lead-up to the November election. The 250-member organization of women and men responded to eight requests from local governments and civic organizations to moderate candidate forums.
Fourteen League presenters and eight researchers worked with different community groups, preparing presentations on State Propositions and Local Ballot Measures. The Voters Service team also attended numerous voter registration opportunities around North County.
