On June 27, Lived Experiences launched its new Community Center at 610 N. Redondo Dr. in Escondido.
“We definitely would like to have people utilize the space to the best of their ability,” said Oscarin Ortega, the founder and director of Lived Experiences.
The center has space for boxing, dancing, doing laundry, reading, painting, and much more. “It’s just people helping people…we’re trying to make this super simple and just focus on our position as leaders to ensure we ca do better for others.”
The official opening included tacos, pizza, and fruit and brought together community members and partners. “We got tacos outside and everybody who’s been involved with us for many years,” says Oscarin. “I’m so proud of the team and the partners.”
