Recent changes to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Naturalization Exam mean you now must answer 12 out of 20 questions correctly from a possible list of 128 questions.
If you applied for naturalization before October 20, 2025, you must answer correctly 6 of 10 questions.
The test covers U.S. history, government, and principles. You should learn the names of your California and local representatives.
